Luis Antonio Martínez (born April 29, 1987 in Zacapoaxtla , Puebla ) is a Mexican football player who predominantly acts in defensive midfield .

career

Martínez began his football career in the junior division of the Tiburones Rojos Veracruz , where he received his first professional contract in 2005 . His first appearance in the top Mexican division he completed on November 25, 2005 in an away game at Monarcas Morelia , which was lost 2-1.

Because he could not prevail in the first team, he played on loan first for the farm team Tiburones Rojos Coatzacoalcos and after their withdrawal from the second division for the Albinegros de Orizaba, who had entered the league at that time . When this club also withdrew from the second division in the summer of 2011, Martínez played on loan for the Reboceros La Piedad , with whom he won the second division championship of Apertura 2012 and at the end of the 2012/13 season also the overall season finale. Through this success, the Reboceros would actually have been promoted to the first division, but waived and instead sold their first division license to Martínez 'parent club Tiburones Rojos Veracruz, to which he returned at the beginning of the 2013/14 season.
