Luis Benasus

Luis Alberto Benasús (* 20th century) is a Uruguayan bowler .

Luis Benasús took part with the Uruguayan team in the 1986 South American Games in Chile . There he won gold in a double competition with Julio Barañano . He won another gold medal in the "Clasificación Petersen". In the "Clasificación Escalerilla", he secured silver and in the four-man competition he took bronze medal. In 1994 he was again a member of the team at the South American Games in Valencia . At the Pan American Games in Mar del Plata in 1995 , he was also a member of the Uruguayan squad. In both events, however, he did not reach the winners' podium, as well as in his third participation in the South American Games in 1998 . The South American Games in 2002 were more successful for him. In those ODESUR games, he classified in the double competition alongside Roberto Barañano with 2380 points on the silver medal rank. In the four-way competition he also won another bronze medal together with Gustavo García , Juan Ramón Perez and Roberto Barañano. That year he started bowling for Fun Station . In February 2003 he won the “ Torneo Aniversario” organized in the “For Fan Bowling” in Buenos Aires in the Maestro class, in which he prevailed in the decisive duel against Lucas Legnani . He then took part in the Pan American Games in 2003 and in the South American Games in 2006 . At these South American Games, however, he only reached 33rd place out of 37 participants in the individual competition. In doubles he was 10th of 17 couples started together with Roberto Barañano.
