Roberto Barañano

Roberto Barañano (* 20th century) is a Uruguayan bowler .

Roberto Barañano belonged to the field of participants at the AMF Bowling World Cup in Hermosillo, Mexico in 1994 , but could not place in the front field. In the same year he took the silver medal in singles at the 1994 South American Games in Valencia . He then took part with the Uruguayan team in the 1995 Pan American Games in Mar del Plata . Around three years later he was part of the team at the 1998 South American Games in Cuenca . There he finished third with 1,292 points in the individual competition and secured the bronze medal. 1999 followed another participation in the AMF Bowling World Cup , which was held that year in Las Vegas . In 2002 he played again for Uruguay at the 2002 South American Games . In those ODESUR games he classified in the double competition alongside Luis Benasús with 2380 points on the silver medal rank. In the four-way competition, he also won another bronze medal together with Gustavo García , Juan Ramón Perez and Benasús. In 2005 he took part in the 14th American Zone Championship in Costa Rica's capital San José . He only reached 55th place, but was the best participating Uruguayan. At his third participation in the South American Games in 2006 in Buenos Aires he was denied a place in the medal ranks. In the four-way competition, he finished there with Benasus, García and Buono in fifth place.
