Luis Felipe Martínez
Luis Felipe Martínez (born May 26, 1955 ) is a retired Cuban boxer .
Martínez was Cuban middleweight champion in 1975, 1976 and 1978 (-71 kg).
In 1974 Martínez won the silver medal of the Central American and Caribbean Championships in Caracas . At the 1976 Olympic Games he won after victories over Fulgencio Obelmejias , Venezuela (5: 0), Bernd Wittenburg , GDR (3: 2), and Dragomir Vujković , Yugoslavia (5: 0), and a semi-final defeat against Rufat Riskijew , Soviet Union ( 3: 2), the bronze medal.
In 1977 Martínez won the Central American and Caribbean Championships in Panama City . At the World Championships in the following year he reached the final, which he lost against Viktor Savchenko , Soviet Union , with 3-2 judge votes.
