Luis Gilberto Plascencia
Luis Gilberto Plascencia (born February 4, 1957 in Guadalajara , Jalisco ) is a retired Mexican football player on the position of a striker .
career
Plascencia began his career at Club Universidad de Guadalajara and was runner-up in his first season in 1976/77 with the Leones Negros as in his last season in 1990/91. In the meantime he won the North Zone of the CONCACAF Champions' Cup (1978) with the club, for which he completed more than 300 appearances in the top Mexican league and scored more than 80 goals .
Ironically, in the 1989/90 season, when the Leones Negros won their only national title with the Copa México , Plascencia was loaned to league rivals Monarcas Morelia , so this title win cannot be attributed to him.
In the friendly matches played on December 6, 1983 against Canada (5-0) and on January 24, 1984 against Venezuela (3-0), he completed his only two international appearances for the Mexican national team .
