Luis Mandoki
Luis Mandoki (* 1954 in Mexico City ) is a Mexican film director and producer.
After studying art in Mexico, then at the San Francisco Art Institute and the University of the Arts London , he graduated from the London Film School .
He made his debut as a director and producer in 1980 with the film Campeche, un estado de animo . In 1987 he made his first English-language film with Gaby - A True Story and only 17 years later was he to return to Mexico with Innocent Voices . In 2005 he received the Transparent Bear for this film . In the years in between, he directed several Hollywood films with stars like Meg Ryan and Kevin Costner .
