Luis Walcher

Luis Walcher (born February 22, 1974 in Bolzano ) has been Vice Mayor of Bolzano since June 19, 2019 with the agendas of spatial planning, public works, civil defense and cemetery service as well as a say in German culture. Mayor Renzo Caramaschi had appointed Walcher as his deputy after Christoph Baur's resignation.

Walcher has been a local councilor since May 2005 and was re-elected to the list of the South Tyrolean People's Party (SVP) in the local council elections in November 2005, in 2010, 2015 and 2016 . He has held the post of parliamentary group spokesman (2008–2010 and 2015) and the municipal council president (2010–2012 and 2015) and has been a member of the Bolzano city ​​council since June 2016 .

Walcher has been a member of the volunteer fire brigade of Gries since 1991 (fire brigade commander 2005–2010), deputy local chairman of the Bozen Farmers 'Union since 2004 and a member of the Bozen regional farmers' council since 2009. He lives in Bozen.
