Lukas Bangerter (* 1971 in St. Gallen ) is a Swiss director , actor, author and set designer. He is the founder of the free theater formation PLASMA

Life

Bangerter obtained his diploma as a nurse in psychiatric care at the School for Psychiatric Nursing in Münsterlingen and then studied acting at the University of the Arts in Bern. After completing his studies, he was a member of the ensemble at Theaterhaus Jena for two years, where he also attracted attention with his first directorial work. In 2000 he founded the PLASMA group in Zurich, as whose director, author and stage designer he has realized fourteen projects to date. In addition to other work as a director and actor, Bangerter has taught and staged as a guest lecturer at the Norwegian Theater Academy in Fredrikstad, the Danish National School of Performing Arts and at the Bern University of the Arts. In 2008/2009 he worked in New York on a grant from the Theater Commission of the City of Zurich and opened with a production by Kathrin Rögglas"Worst case" the season of the Schauspielhaus Wien. In addition to the Wiener Festwochen, the IMPULSE theater festival, the Seoul Performing Arts Festival in Korea, the Fadjr theater festival in Tehran, the International Festival for Experimental Theater in Cairo, Baltic Circle in Helsinki, Reminiscencje Teatralne in Krakow, Spielart Festival in Munich and euro-scene in Leipzig, festivals and venues in Ljubljana, Mumbai, New Delhi, Dresden, Berlin, Oslo, Skopje and Dublin showed his work.
