Lukas Schmidt (born September 19, 1988 in Regensburg ) is a German badminton player .
Athletic career
Schmidt was eight times German youth and junior champion in men's singles and doubles. At the German Championships 2011 he failed in the final against Marc Zwiebler with 18:21, 12:21 and became German runner-up in the men's singles. In 2012 and 2013 he achieved bronze and again silver. In 2014 he achieved his greatest success to date by winning the 2014 German Championships . Since the 2011/2012 season he has been in action for 1. BC Bischmisheim in the 1. Badminton Bundesliga .
