Luke Isaac Moore (born February 13, 1986 in Birmingham ) is an English football player who is currently under contract with Toronto FC . His brother Stefan Moore was also a professional footballer.
Career
The striker began his professional football career in 2003 with Aston Villa . From 2003 to 2004 Moore was on loan with the Wycombe Wanderers . The 180 cm tall Englishman played six times and scored four goals (including a hat trick) for the "Chairboys". Moore made his Aston Villa debut in 2004 in a 2-2 draw in the city derby against Birmingham City . The striker scored his first goal in the Premier League on March 5, 2005 against Middlesbrough FC . The first hat trick in the top English division took place just under a year later - on February 5, 2006 - again against FC Middlesbrough. Curiously, Moore was hailed as the new Wayne Rooney by the Liverpool newspapers . Although Aston Villa signed national players like Kevin Phillips or the Czechs Milan Baros , the "local" kept coming back. In the 2006/07 season, Moore was part of the Birmingham Men lineup. One of the reasons for this should have been Baros 'injury and Kevin Phillips' move to West Bromwich Albion . Internationally, Moore played a few games for the English U-21 team.
In 2008 Moore moved to West Bromwich Albion .
In the summer of 2013 he moved to the Turkish Süper Lig to Sanica Boru Elazığspor . In spring 2014 he left Elazığspor after mutual agreement with the club's management.
Moore then moved to Major League Soccer .
