Luke Stringer (born December 12, 1995 in Cape Town ) is a South African ice hockey player who has been playing for the Cape Town Penguins in the Western Province Ice Hockey League since 2012 .

Career

Luke Stringer began his career with the Cape Town Rams in his hometown Cape Town , for which he played in the Western Province Ice Hockey League , one of the regional leagues whose winners play the South African national championship. In 2012 he moved to local rivals Cape Town Storm and in the same year to Cape Town Penguins , for whom he has played since then.

International

Stringer was initially on the ice for South Africa at the Division III U18 World Championships in 2011 , 2012 and 2013 , when he was named the tournament's best defender.

In the men's national team , he made his debut at the Division III World Championship in 2013 , when the Springboks managed to move up to Division II.
