Lulworth is a small town in the north of the Australian state of Tasmania , which is on the coast of Bass Strait . It has 165 inhabitants. Lulworth lies between Stony Head in the west and Weymouth in the east. The place extends in two parts along the coastline of Tam O'Shanter Bay . The parts are connected by Tam O'Shanter Road . The western part of the bay is a sandy beach that merges into a rocky headland in the east. The Tam O'Shanter Bay Golfcourse is operated in the south of Lulworth . The Tam O'Shanter Creek drains east of the village .

The distance from Lulworth to the nearest Australian mainland from Victoria on the other side of the Bass Strait is quite short at about 215 kilometers as the crow flies.
