The Lunt-Fontanne Theater (formerly known as the Globe Theater ) is a theater in Manhattan , New York City .

The theater is located at 205 West 46th Street. The theater was built by architects Carrere & Hastings and opened on January 10, 1910. The theater has 1,509 seats for visitors. The theater is owned by the Nederlander Organization . The Tony Awards ceremony took place in the theater in 1989 and 1990.
