Lura is a village in north-eastern Bania in the municipality of Dibra in the Qark of the same name (prefecture). The place is in the Lura mountain region at around 1040  m above sea level. A. on the edge of the national park of the same name .

Until 2015 Lura was an independent municipality ( komuna ) . In 2011 the community had 1096 inhabitants according to the census, and according to the local authorities even 1482 inhabitants (2014).

The municipality included the villages of Fushë-Lura (390 inhabitants according to the local authorities), Lura e Vjetër (200 inhabitants), Borie-Lura (247 inhabitants), Pregj-Lura (103 inhabitants), Krej-Lura (120 inhabitants), Arrmall (138 inhabitants), Vlashej (63 inhabitants) and Gurë-Lura (167 inhabitants). There are also two other small villages.
