The Lussier River is an approximately 70 km long orographic left tributary of the Kootenay River in the southeast of the Canadian province of British Columbia .
River course
The Lussier River has its source in the Top of the World Provincial Park in the Canadian Rockies . The origin of the river is the mountain lake Sparkle Lake at an altitude of 2120 m on the north flank of Mount Dingley ( 2639 m ). At the headwaters of the river is the small lake Fish Lake . The Lussier River flows 35 km north. At Lussier Hot Springs , located in Whiteswan Provincial Park , the river turns west and cuts through a ridge. The Lussier River then flows south and finally flows into the Kootenay River 45 km north of Cranbrook .
