Lutfi Zharku (born November 19, 1962 in Kačanik , SFR Yugoslavia ) is a Kosovar politician ( LDK ) and Minister of Infrastructure there.

Career

Lutfi Zharku attended elementary school and middle school in his hometown of Kaçanik . He then studied at the Faculty of Economics at the University of Pristina , where he received his doctorate in July 2009 (after postgraduate studies at the University of Belgrade in finance and banking) on ​​the subject of the implementation of the euro and its effects on price developments. Since October 2012 he has held a professorship for finance and international finance at the faculty.

From October 2011 until his appointment as Minister of Infrastructure, he held seminars in advanced corporate finance ( master's ) and financial statements analysis ( bachelor's degree ) at the Riinvest Institute in Pristina, and also teaches at the banking, finance and accounting department of the Kadri Faculty of Economics Zeka University in Gjilan , where he has been an assistant professor since October 1, 2014.

From 2008 to 2010 he was Minister for Trade and Industry. In December 2010 he became a member of the parliament of the Republic of Kosovo . He has been Minister for Infrastructure since December 2014.

Private

In addition to his native Albanian , Zharku also speaks English and Serbo-Croatian . Zharku is married and has three children.
