Powers and composition
Parliament's powers are set out in the Kosovo Constitution , which entered into force on June 15, 2008. The Assembly is the state legislative body. It has 120 seats, of which the Serbian ethnic group is guaranteed at least ten seats. The other minorities in Kosovo - Roma , Ashkali and Balkan Egyptians (four together), Bosniaks (three), Turks (two) and Gorans (one) - have a total of ten additional seats reserved.
Parliament elects the President and also appoints the Prime Minister . Constitutional amendments can only be made with a two-thirds majority of all votes, including two-thirds of the votes of the minority representatives. The executive committee consists of a president and two deputies. The latter must belong to a minority.
The minimum voting age is 18 years. Glauk Konjufca ( VV ) has been President of Parliament since March 22, 2021 .
