Lutz Richter (politician)

Lutz Richter (born August 7, 1974 in Pirna ) is a German politician and was a member of the state parliament in Saxony ( Die Linke ) between 2014 and 2019 .

Career

Lutz Richter grew up in Lohmen and graduated from school in Lohmen and Pirna with the Abitur. This was followed by basic military service and training as an office clerk with additional European qualifications. He then became an employee of the Bundestag member André Hahn .

Richter was involved in the PDS and won a mandate for it in 1999 in the district council of the then Saxon Switzerland district , and since 2010 he has been a member of the district council in the Saxon Switzerland-Eastern Ore Mountains district .

In the state elections in Saxony in 2014 , he won a mandate on the state list.

He was chairman of the left in the NSU investigation committee in the Saxon state parliament. He was a member of the Petitions and Constitutional and Legal Committees and was also a democratic spokesman and deputy chairman of his parliamentary group.

Richter is active against neo-Nazis and was a witness in the court case against the skinheads Saxon Switzerland . In 2010, his car was set on fire by the Nazis in front of his home.

Richter has two children.
