The Lyftingen (Norwegian for Viking ship deck ) is a mountain in the East Antarctic Queen Maud Land . It rises immediately southeast of the Kjølrabbane near the southwest end of the Ahlmannryggen .
Norwegian cartographers, who also named the hill, carried out a mapping based on aerial photographs and measurements of the Norwegian-British-Swedish Antarctic Expedition (1949–1952).
