Lymphotoxin-α ( LTA for short , alternatively also tumor necrosis factor-β , TNFB for short , or, more scientifically, tumor necrosis factor ligand superfamily member 1 , TNFSF1 for short ) is a cytokine from the TNF / TNFR superfamily . It has a lot in common with TNF - shares e.g. B. its receptors - but is secreted by activated lymphocytes . Like TNF, it is an immune response modulator . Mutations in the LTA - gene are with age-related leprosy and psoriatic arthritis associated.
