Lyndon Ferns (born September 24, 1983 in Polokwane ( Pietersburg )) is a South African swimmer in the freestyle discipline.

At the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens , he won the gold medal in the 4 × 100 meter medley with the South African relay and broke the world record. In 2006 he was able to repeat his success at the Commonwealth Games in Melbourne , Australia . At the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing , China , Ferns took sixth place in the 100-meter freestyle final with a time of 48.04 seconds, seventh place in the 4 × 100-meter freestyle final and in the 100 meters -Butterfly semifinals took 14th place.

He currently holds the following records:

  • South African record 100 m butterfly
  • South African and African records 4 × 100 m freestyle and 4 × 50 m freestyle
