Lyngenhalvøya ( German  Lyngen Peninsula ) is a peninsula in the municipalities of Lyngen and Storfjord in Fylke Troms og Finnmark in Northern Norway . It lies between the Ullsfjord in the west and the Lyngenfjord in the east and has an area of ​​around 1500 km² . Large parts of the peninsula belong to the nature reserve Lyngsalpan landskapsvernområde (Lyngen Alps landscape) and are characterized by the Lyngen Alps .

The peninsula has a cut in its middle at Kjosen on the Ullsfjorden . The central parts of the peninsula consist of mountainous landscapes with glaciers and deep valleys as well as rugged gorges. The highest mountain on the peninsula is Jiehkkevarri with 1834 m , the highest mountain in the province of Troms og Finnmark .
