Ullsfjorden ( North Sami Moskavuotna , Finnish Moskivuono ) is a 110 km long fjord in the municipalities of Tromsø , Lyngen and Karlsøy in Troms og Finnmark in Norway . It stretches from Lyngstuva in the north to Sjøvassbotn in the south.
About 15 km south of its northern end branches in Beacon Grotnes on the southeastern tip of the island Reinøy the Grøtsund southwest from, runs through the northern ship the access to Tromsø.
The southern part of the fjord, from Storstraumen to Sjøvassbotn, is often called Sørfjord . From Sjøvassbotn it is only 2.5 km to the Balsfjord . The Kjosen fjord arm branches off directly north of Storstraumen and leads about twelve kilometers to the east, where it meets the Lyngseidet isthmus, which is only three kilometers wide .
To the west of the fjord is the Stuoranjarga peninsula, to the east is the Lyngenhalvøya ( German Lyngen peninsula ).
