Lyngholmen is an island on the Norwegian coast of the North Sea and belongs to the municipality of Averøy in the province of Møre og Romsdal .

The rocky, barren island is at the exit of the Lauvøyfjord . Only a few meters east of Lyngholmen is the island of Eldhusøya , with which there is a permanent connection via the dam on the Atlantic Road . The well-known Atlantic Road, which crosses the fjord here, leads across the island, where there is a large rest area with tourist information, snack bars and sanitary facilities. The rest area is named after the neighboring island of Eldhusøya. A little to the west of the island is the striking Storseisund Bridge , a landmark of the Atlantic Road .

Lyngholmen extends in a west-east direction over about 500 meters with a width of up to 300 meters and reaches a height of up to 22.7 meters.

On the northern half, an elaborately paved path leads along the island's shore. The memorial for those who remained at sea is located on the western bank .
