IC 1195 is a bar-spiral galaxy with an active nucleus of the Hubble type SBbc in the constellation Hercules in the northern sky . It is estimated to be 539 million light years away from the Milky Way and has a diameter of about 95,000 ly.
In the same area of the sky are the galaxies IC 1173 , IC 1181 , IC 1186 , IC 1188 .
The object was discovered by Stéphane Javelle on June 23, 1892 .
