IC 1215 is a bar-spiral galaxy with extensive star formation areas of the Hubble type SBc in the constellation Dragon in the northern sky . It is estimated to be 332 million light years from the Milky Way and about 105,000 light years across.
In the same area of the sky are u. a. the galaxies IC 1216 and IC 1218 .
The object was discovered by Lewis Swift on July 2, 1888 .
