IC 1205 is a spiral radio galaxy of the Hubble type Sab in the constellation Hercules in the northern sky . It is estimated to be 148 million light years from the Milky Way and about 25,000 light years across.

In the same area of ​​the sky are u. a. the galaxies NGC 6081 and IC 1199 .

The object was discovered by Lewis Swift on April 8, 1888 .
