IC 1190 is a bar-spiral galaxy of the Hubble type SBb in the constellation Hercules in the northern sky . It is estimated to be 484 million light years from the Milky Way and about 185,000 light years in diameter. The galaxy is considered a member of the Hercules Cluster Abell 2151 .

In the same area of ​​the sky are u. a. the galaxies NGC 6053 , NGC 6055 , NGC 6061 , IC 1189 .

The object was discovered by Lewis Swift on June 7, 1888 .
