IC 1192 is a spiral galaxy of the Hubble type Sb with an active galaxy core in the constellation Hercules in the northern sky . It is an estimated 512 million light-years away from the Milky Way and has a diameter of about 90,000 ly. The galaxy is a member of the Hercules galaxy cluster Abell 2151 .
The galaxies NGC 6054 , IC 1185 , IC 1193 , IC 1194 are located in the same area of the sky .
The object was discovered by Stéphane Javelle on August 13, 1892 .
