IC 1212 is a compact galaxy of Hubble type C in the constellation Draco the northern sky . It is an estimated 442 million light years from the Milky Way and about 65,000 light years in diameter.
In the same area of the sky are u. a. the galaxies NGC 6111 and NGC 6135 .
The object was discovered by Lewis Swift on June 22, 1889 .
