IC 1212 is a compact galaxy of Hubble type C in the constellation Draco the northern sky . It is an estimated 442 million light years from the Milky Way and about 65,000 light years in diameter.

In the same area of ​​the sky are u. a. the galaxies NGC 6111 and NGC 6135 .

The object was discovered by Lewis Swift on June 22, 1889 .
