NGC 6111 is a 14.2  mag bright elliptical galaxy of the Hubble type E1 in the constellation Dragon in the northern sky . It is estimated to be 430 million light years from the Milky Way and about 85,000 light years across. In the same area of ​​the sky are u. a. the galaxies IC 1210 and IC 1212 .

The object was discovered by Lewis A. Swift on May 31, 1887 .
