NGC 6112 is a 14.4 mag bright elliptical galaxy of the Hubble-type E2 in the constellation Corona Borealis in the northern sky . It is an estimated 423 million light years from the Milky Way and about 125,000 light years in diameter. In the same area of the sky are u. a. the galaxies NGC 6108 , NGC 6109 , NGC 6110 , NGC 6114 .
The object was discovered on July 7, 1880 by Édouard Stephan .
