NGC 6123 is a 13.7 mag bright lenticular galaxy of the Hubble-type S0 / a in the constellation Dragon in the northern sky . It is estimated to be 186 million light years from the Milky Way and about 40,000 light years in diameter. In the same area of the sky is u. a. the galaxy IC 1210 .
The property was discovered by Lewis A. Swift in 1885 .
