NGC 6109 is a 13.0 likes bright lenticular galaxy with an active galactic nucleus from Hubble type S0 in the constellation Corona Borealis in the northern sky . It is an estimated 402 million light years from the Milky Way and about 115,000 light years in diameter. In the same area of the sky are u. a. the galaxies NGC 6107 , NGC 6108 , NGC 6110 , NGC 6112 .
The Type Ia supernovae SN 2003ia and SN 2010an were observed here.
The object was discovered on July 7, 1880 by Édouard Stephan .
