IC 1201 is a spiral galaxy of the Hubble type Sb in the constellation Dragon in the northern sky . It is an estimated 325 million light years from the Milky Way and about 115,000 light years in diameter.
In the same area of the sky are u. a. the galaxies NGC 6079 , NGC 6091 , IC 1204 .
The object was discovered by Lewis Swift on August 2, 1888 .
