Rogers, known as the “Bear Man” , has been researching the life of American black bears for over 40 years and has become famous for his success with the help of special working methods. He wins the trust of wild black bears by accompanying them for days, feeding them, observing them up close and thus becoming a friend of their family. This approach has enabled him to clear up numerous myths about animals and discover surprising new behaviors . He always announces his presence near the bears with the words “It's me bear” ( It's me bear ). Hundreds of self-written scientific articles about the behavior of bears and several documentaries testify to his significant ecological work. He has received numerous awards for this.
