The Lyons Creek is a 1.5 km long meltwater flow in the East Antarctic Victoria Land . It flows in a northeasterly direction along the southern flank of the Taylor Glacier into the western end of Lake Bonney in the Taylor Valley .

The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 1996 after the US geologist William Berry Lyons from the University of Alabama , who had studied the geochemistry and paleolimnology of the rivers and lakes in the Antarctic dry valleys from 1985 onwards .
