Máté Halász

Máté Halász [ ˈmaːteː ˈhɒlaːs ] (born June 2, 1984 ) is a Hungarian handball player .

The 1.92 meter tall and 83 kilogram left winger initially played for Pick Szeged and joined Tatabánya KC in 2005 . With these two clubs he played in the EHF Champions League (2003/04, 2004/05) and in the EHF Cup (2005/06, 2010/11). He left Tatabánya in the summer of 2011. After Halász then ran for Gyöngyösi KK, he signed a contract with the French club Massy Essonne Handball.

Máté Halász scored 41 goals in 21 international matches for the Hungarian national team ; he was in Hungary's squad for the 2010 European Handball Championship .
