The Märkische Regiobahn was a brand of Ostseeland Verkehr GmbH , with which it took over the traffic on two Brandenburg regional railway lines from December 9, 2007 to December 10, 2011. She had won a VBB - expression of interest procedure for both lines in October 2007. Four Desiro vehicles were used, and a train attendant was always present on all trains. In August 2009, the Berlin-Brandenburg transport association extended the contract with the Veolia subsidiary for a further two years.

The MR 51 was operated every hour on weekdays and at the weekend, with one exception, while the MR 33 only ran hourly between Beelitz Stadt and Wannsee on weekdays, the remaining section to Jüterbog was served every 2 hours. At the weekend, the entire route was served every 2 hours. After the timetable change in December 2008, a train from Jüterbog to Beelitz Stadt also ran late in the evening. From December 2009, according to the local transport plan, a continuous hourly service was planned for the entire route from Monday to Friday. This consolidation now takes place with the takeover by the Ostdeutsche Eisenbahn (ODEG) in December 2011.

In December 2011, the two lines operated by the Märkische Regiobahn were taken over by ODEG for eleven years until December 2022.
