Mérieux NutriSciences is a service company 70% owned by the Institut Mérieux. It is based in Chicago (USA) and Lyon (France). The group deals with analysis, testing and advisory services to ensure the quality and safety of food , the environment and consumer goods in terms of consumer protection . Customers include all players in the food chain, the pharmaceutical and cosmetic industry, the agrochemical industry, and manufacturers of consumer goods. The group has 100 accredited analytical laboratories in 22 countries around the world .
history
In 1967, John Silliker founded the company Silliker in Chicago, which was taken over by the Mérieux Group in 1997 , which from then on grew through company takeovers and was officially named Mérieux NutriSciences in 2011. In 2016, the South African subsidiary Swift Silliker was renamed to the common brand name.
