Mínor Enrique Díaz Araya (born December 26, 1980 in Nicoya ) is a Costa Rican football player.

Career

The center forward began his professional career in his home country at UD Santa Bárbara de Heredia . In 1999 he was committed to the 2nd Bundesliga by Karlsruher SC . In a catastrophic season for the club that ended with relegation, Díaz only made six appearances (no goal). In the summer of 2000 he moved back to Costa Rica and played for the clubs CS Herediano , LD Alajuelense , CS Cartaginés , AD Municipal Liberia , La U Universitarios , again Alajuelense and Herediano, as well as Belén FC until his end of career in 2014 .

In the national team, he scored a goal in a game against Venezuela in six appearances .

After his active career, Díaz switched to coaching and, after years with his home club CS Herediano, took over La U Universitarios in the 2018/2019 season and Desamparados since 2019 .
