Dieckmann Mill

The mill Dieckmann is a Grade II listed post mill in the community at large fraction belonging village Wulferstedt in Saxony-Anhalt .

location

The windmill is surrounded by fields a little southeast of the village of Wulferstedt. Another historic windmill, the Lauenroth post mill , is located southwest of the village.

Architecture and history

The wooden post mill was built in 1820. After ceasing operations in the 20th century, the mill fell into disrepair until restoration work began in the late 1990s. The trestle sills, the star and the roof frames were replaced. 2005 also the wing cross. The original technical facilities such as grinding, shotgun, hexagonal sifter, cleaning and elevator have been partially removed. In addition to a corridor, there are also transmissions, elevators and the bag lift in the attic. After the restoration work, it was used for private purposes as a leisure property.

In the local register of monuments , the mill is listed as a monument under registration number 09456005 .
