The Münchhausenschule Bodenwerder is a primary and special school in Bodenwerder ( Lower Saxony ).

Namesake

The namesake of the school is the Freiherr von Münchhausen Karl Friedrich Hieronymus von Münchhausen , who became famous for his lies .

School and equipment of the school building

The Münchhausenschule is centrally located in Bodenwerder. The school mainly looks after pupils with special needs.

The school has ten classrooms, plus there is a computer room, a science room, a training room and a hospital room. There is also a traffic garden with which pupils can acquire a bicycle driver's license, a study kitchen that is used from the 7th grade onwards, and a school library.

There are 12 classes in primary school, each divided into four grades. The primary school itself has a music room. The study kitchen is also located in the primary school.

Others

Students come to the Münchhausenschule from the Anne Frank School in Holzminden , as there is no 10th grade in the Anne Frank School. The gym at the school is used for physical education, but other school-internal events also take place in the hall, and clubs also use this gym. The schools have a school medical service .

The Münchhausenschule Bodenwerder has been participating in the school fruit program of the state of Lower Saxony since October 2014 . Since then, the school has been supplied with fruit and vegetables once a week. The fruit is distributed to the students for consumption. The vegetables are processed in the school's home economics class. On November 21, 2014, Lower Saxony's Agriculture Minister Christian Meyer visited the school to find out more about the implementation of the project.
