Tamdrup coin treasure
The Tamdrup coin treasure was found west of Tamdrup Church , northwest of Horsens in Jutland , Denmark .
In 2013, metal detectors found at least 28 whole and 30 halved silver coins from the time of King Svend Estridsen (1047-1074) and a few other coins (e.g. Otto-Adelheid-Pfennig , OAP). There is no evidence of a solid container.
The discovery of the silver treasure is one of a series of detectors from the area that show a place of importance in the 10th and 11th centuries. In recent years, among other things, an ax amulet two small horse figures, one, signet ring of bronze , the fragment of an urn fibula , lead plates with a Latin inscription, and a coin of Knut the Great ( Danish Canute the store , 1018-1035) found.
