MEBAK

The MEBAK e.V. is the Central European Brewing Analysis Commission . The purpose of the association is to promote research and development in the field of analysis and technology of beverages and their raw materials, additives and auxiliary materials. State and private brewing institutes in Germany , Austria , the Czech Republic and Switzerland as well as representatives of the brewing industry are networked in MEBAK.

The association was founded on November 19, 1971 in the old library of the VLB in Berlin-Wedding ; its predecessor organization was the German Brewery Analysis Commission ( DBAK ). The association has been based at the TUM - Weihenstephan Research Center for Brewing and Food Quality in Freising-Weihenstephan since 1981 .

In addition to the VLB, the founding organizations were the Scientific Station for Brewery in Munich, the Research Institute for Beer Brewery of the Bavarian State Trade Institute in Nuremberg, the State Brewery Testing and Research Institute Weihenstephan, the State Institute for Agricultural Trade at the University of Hohenheim , the test and research station for the fermentation industry in Mühlheim, the experimental station for Swiss breweries in Zurich and the experimental station for the fermentation industry in Vienna.

Since 2016, the MEBAK board has consisted of the following members:
