Angelica Fornell
Angelika Fornell (* 1954 in Solingen ) is a German actress .
Life
Angelika Fornell initially studied architecture at RWTH Aachen University from 1975 to 1979 , where she also completed advanced training at the Chair of Sculpture. From 1980 she was responsible as an architect for planning and drafting in an architectural community. It wasn't until 1988 that Fornell turned to acting. After participating in a Michael Chekhov workshop , she attended the New Dance and Theater School in Düsseldorf from 1988 to 1989. She began her extensive stage career in the 1989/90 season at the Schauspielhaus Düsseldorf , to which she belonged until 1992, before moving to the Schauspiel Bonn for about ten years . From 2003, Fornell performed as a guest at various German theaters, first at the State Theater in Nuremberg , then repeatedly at the Hessian State Theater in Wiesbaden , further at the Bielefeld Theater , at the Zimmertheater Heidelberg , in Cologne at the Schauspiel and the Theater Tiefrot , at the Kammerspiele Paderborn and at the Studiobühne Siegburg , at whose affiliated drama school she was a lecturer from 2008 to 2010. In the 2010/11 season Fornell took on an engagement at the Deutsches Theater in Göttingen, of which she is still a member today.
Among the countless roles Fornell has played so far were, among others, the actress in Six People Looking for an Author by Luigi Pirandello , Ina in Bertolt Brecht's petty bourgeois wedding , Ms. Bergmann and Ms. Gabor in various productions of Frank Wedekind's Spring Awakening , Eunice in Endstation Sehnsucht von Tennessee Williams , wife Bruscon in theater makers of Thomas Bernhard , the ladies molar and Waas in a stage version of Michael Ende's novel Jim button and Luke the Engine Driver or the title role in house of Bernarda Alba by Federico García Lorca . Fornell took on another title role in Göttingen in the one-person play Die Magd Zerline by Hermann Broch . So far she has been seen there as Lady Montague in William Shakespeare's drama Romeo and Juliet , as Frau Brigitte in the Broken Jug by Heinrich von Kleist, or in several roles in both parts of Faust .
Angelika Fornell has only worked sporadically in front of the camera. After a camera acting workshop at the International Film School Cologne in 2009, she played the character of Henriette Sabel in the soap opera Verbotene Liebe in several episodes in 2010 and 2012, and she got other jobs in the series SOKO Cologne and the one in Göttingen filmed crime film Harder and the Brat .
Fornell also had roles in radio productions for West German Broadcasting and speaks as a voiceover for numerous documentaries, especially for the cultural broadcaster Arte . Especially in 2007 she occasionally worked as a voice actress and lent her voice to various foreign colleagues, mostly in supporting roles, including Geraldine James in Jane Austen's Northanger Abbey , Jemma Redgrave in Mansfield Park or Alice Krige in Persuasion .
