Matthias Kapohl

Matthias Kapohl (* 1972 ) is a German radio play director and author .

Life

Matthias Kapohl studied German , sociology , art history and theater studies . From 2001 to 2004 he was coordinator and program director of the Bonn International Film Music Biennale. In 2004 he founded SoundTrack Cologne and was one of three program managers until 2014. Kapohl has been writing and directing radio plays since 2008, including at Radio-Tatort . His first directorial work and adaptation by Vincent based on a novel by Joey Goebel received the radio play of the month March 2008 award . "Cyberchonder", "Karoshi" and "Mutterseelenallein" followed. Nomination for the Juliane Bartel Media Prize 2014 with "Mutterseelenallein". Shortlist Prix Italia with "Die according to plan". Since 2017 audio installations for the Grassi Museum Leipzig and the Museum für Völkerkunde Dresden . In 2019 he staged the radio play podcast The State of Emergency for the music streaming service Deezer .

Matthias Kapohl lives in Cologne.
