Nika Bertram
Nika Bertram (born May 24, 1970 in Aachen ) is a German writer .
Life
Nika Bertram studied English and Information Science in Cologne and has been working as a freelance author and journalist since 2007. Before that, she worked in the British Council and the English Seminar, as well as library manager, multimedia designer and IT lecturer. From 1989 to 1993 she was a member of the Cologne Authors' Workshop . She writes prose , radio plays and "digital literature". For her novel The Kahuna Mode , she developed her own computer game and a web mud .
Nika Bertram is a member of the Chaos Computer Club and the Association of German Writers . There she had been a board member in the Cologne district since 2004, but resigned from this position in December 2008. Together with Eva Weissweiler, she founded the non-profit association of authors, Action Independent Rhein-Ruhr Authors (AURA 09 e.V.) and was elected 3rd chairperson on May 11, 2009.
She has a daughter and lives with her partner in Cologne.
