Benjamin Maack

Benjamin Maack (born April 3, 1978 in Winsen (Luhe) ) is a German journalist and writer .

Life

Benjamin Maack has lived in Hamburg as an editor and freelance writer since 1998 . He studied art history, philosophy and folklore.

In addition to the individual publications Monster , The world is a parking lot and ends in front of Disneyland and it's not you, it's Coca Cola, he published poems and stories in anthologies (including power - Organized Literature, Rotbuch Verlag 2002; Hamburger Ziegel, Jahrbuch für Literatur, Dölling & Galitz 2002; Scattered Light (Minimal Trash Art 2003)). Benjamin Maack worked as an editor for the magazines Prinz , Blond and 23 and made the wing chair podcast together with Bernd Begemann . On the split screen , the podcast of the video game magazine GEE , he spoke to guests from the editorial team about current video games . In January 2008 Maack became editor at einestages , from November 2012 deputy department head, from January 2013 department head. Benjamin Maack has been editor in the Panorama section since October 2015.

In October 2012, he was named by the Frankfurter Allgemeine Sonntagszeitung as one of the 20 most important young contemporary authors. At the Ingeborg Bachmann Competition in 2013 , he received the 3sat Prize from Joachim Kaltenbach for his contribution “How to catch a beetle correctly” .

If that still works, it can't be that bad as a text for Suhrkamp and as a radio play for NDR in 2020 .
