Dušan Radović

Dušan Radović (nickname "Duško") ( Cyrillic : Душан "Душко" Радовић ; born November 29, 1922 in Niš , Kingdom of Yugoslavia ; † August 16, 1984 in Belgrade , SFR Yugoslavia ) was a Yugoslav journalist and writer. He is known for his poetry (especially children's poetry), books, television scripts, and aphorisms.

He was the main editor of the “Pioneer Newspaper”, editor of children's programs at Radio Belgrade, editor of children's programs at Radiotelevizija Beograd (RTB), editor of the newspaper “Poletarac”, journalist for the newspaper “Borba” . From 1975 he was an editor at Studio B , a television and radio station in Belgrade.

Honors

The Malo pozorište "Dušan Radović" (Small Theater "Dušan Radović") in Belgrade was named after the poet's death on October 23, 1984. On March 7, 1986, the Radović evening theater for adults was opened.

His works have been translated into many languages. Dušan Radović received numerous prizes in Yugoslavia as well as an award from the International Organization for Children's Literature "Hans Christian Andersen".
